چکیده
Purpose Designing a new T2-preparation (T2-Prep) module to simultaneously provide robust fat suppression and efficient T2 preparation without requiring an additional fat-suppression for T2-weighted imaging at 3T. Methods The tip-down radiofrequency (RF) pulse of adiabatic T2-Prep was replaced by custom-designed RF-excitation that induces phase difference between water fat, resulting in simultaneous signals the end (a phaser T2-Prep). Numerical simulations vitro vivo electrocardiogram (ECG)-triggered navigator-gated acquisitions human heart were performed. Blood, myocardium, signal-to-noise ratios right coronary artery vessel sharpness compared against previously published approaches. Results predicted increased bandwidth decreased sensitivity transmit magnetic field inhomogeneities using proposed approach while preserving capabilities. This confirmed tissue acquired phantom images, which show similar blood myocardium ratio, contrast-to-noise significantly reduced ratio with other methods. As result, conspicuity increased. Conclusion A novel fat-suppressing method developed implemented showed conventional techniques its

Cardiac and Hepatic T2*-Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Abstract Background Iron overload is the main transfusion related side effects in patients with transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathies. Severe iron deposition in tissues leads to organ dysfunction. Many organs can be affected such as heart, liver, and endocrine organs. Cardiac failure and liver fibrosis are the consequent of Iron overload in transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathy. Magne...
متن کاملDNA Damages on Blood Cells After Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Introduction: Along with the increased use of cardiac imaging at clinics there is increased attention to the potential risks related to the methods used like magnetic resonance (MR) and it cannot be ruled out that MR can alter DNA structure. The aim of this review is to assess the impact of routine cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) scanning on DNA damages in human T lymphocytes....
متن کاملFetal magnetic resonance imaging at 3.0 T.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been used to image the in utero fetus for the past 3 decades. Although not as commonplace as other patient-oriented MRI, it is a growing field and demonstrating a role in the clinical care of the fetus. Indeed, the body of literature involving fetal MRI exceeds 3000 published articles. Indeed, there is interest in accessing even the healthy fetus with MRI to...
متن کاملQuantitative T 2 Magnetic Resonance Imaging
The exceptional soft tissue contrast of which MRI benefits, makes it an important tool for medical diagnosis. Not only the contrast itself, but also the possible quantification of relaxation times T 1 and T 2 causing this contrast is of interest. This quantification has proven to be clinically useful in the context of neurological diseases such as schizophrenia, autism, Parkin-son's disease and...
